The Florence RedWolves use a four-run second inning to defeat the Forest City Owls 6-1 on Tuesday night in front of a sellout crowd of 2,434 fans at Sparrow Stadium.
The RedWolves scored early on Tuesday night when Patrick Causa (Mount Saint Mary's) scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the first to make it 1-0.
Florence would have to wait to score some more as a 50-minute rain delay paused the game before the bottom of the second. But the RedWolves would make up for that delay by scoring four times in the inning.
The RedWolves would score one more run in the third when Hallum singled home Ben Peden (The Citadel) to make it 6-0.
Jonathan Hughes (Georgia Tech) was the benefit of the offense picking up the win after tossing 7 innings allowing six hits, one unearned run while striking out four.
The RedWolves (15-10) will hit the road on July 4th to take on the Lexington County Blowfish in Lexington.
Florence will return home on Thursday to take on the Macon Bacon on stadium cup giveaway night.
