Hitter of the Week

Stewart Puckett / South Alabama / Macon Bacon

Puckett, a redshirt junior infielder at South Alabama, had an impressive week for the Bacon. He not only led the league with an incredible .688 average, he also had the week’s best numbers in slugging percentage (1.438), on-base percentage (.647), and OPS (2.085). His 11 hits were the second-highest last week. Puckett also racked up three doubles and three home runs on his way to totaling eight runs scored and 8 RBIs.

Pitcher of the Week

Kyle Stock / USC Aiken / Lexington County Blowfish

Stock made the most of his sole appearance on the bump for the Blowfish. The sophomore right-hander went seven innings in relief, giving up just one run on five hits to finish with a 1.29 ERA. He didn’t issue a single walk, and struck out 10, the second-highest mark on the week. The 6-1, 195-pound Stock from USC Aiken also sported a WHIP of 0.71 and a K/9 of 12.86.
