Local Radio Legend Named Generals Voice
PETERSBURG, VA. - The Petersburg Generals have announced well-known announcer, Terry Sisisky, as the 2008 voice of the Generals.
Sisisky has been inducted to a number of Hall of Fames, including the Richmond Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the VCU Baseball Hall of Fame. Sisisky has been calling sporting action spanning three (3) decades, and is known for his great enthusiasm.
The family of our players, as well as Generals' fans, can listen to Sisisky call the play-by-play all summer on the Coastal Plain League website, www.coastalplain.com. The CPL offers fans of the league an opportunity to follow their favorite team with the CPL WebPass.
Petersburg Generals President, Larry Toombs, stated, "I have listened to Terry a lot through the years and he has the great ability to make every game exciting. He is a respected name in the area, and I am glad we have him on board for 2008."
Generals' fans are now able to purchase their season tickets for 29 home games this season, with one of those being an exhibition game against Catawba Valley Stars, from the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League. The 2008 season is the ninth season in the Coastal Plain League for the Generals. The CPL is one of the nation's premier collegiate wood-bat leagues with teams in the Carolinas and Virginia.
