Wilmington Sharks Debut New Logo
The Sharks revealed a new logo today.
WILMINGTON, N.C. - For the first time in five years, the Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League (CPL) are excited to announce a new logo set to debut with the 2008 season. The new logo incorporates the familiar Sharks branding with the shark fin in the center of the 'W' and a baseball. The green color, as seen in past seasons, will be gradually phased out and will be replaced with a new navy blue, silver, and white color scheme. The new image, which has already been seen on outgoing press releases, will be further included with materials such as magnet and pocket schedules, eNewsletters, advertising, and team apparel.

To coincide with the new logo, the Web site (http://www.wilmingtonsharks.com) is also being upgraded to simplify navigation, allowing fans to easily find the information they need. Additionally, the new site will soon incorporate features that enhance the fan experience by allowing them to show their Sharks pride with downloadable computer desktop backgrounds to correspond with a fan photos section so people all over the world can see the Sharks experience through the fans' very own eyes.

Much to the delight of our young fan base, the Sharks mascot "Sharky" will continue to be seen at every home game and at special events around the city of Wilmington.

The new logo and updated Web site reflects the Sharks' dedication to a re-energized and professional approach to bringing a fun and exciting brand of baseball to the fans. Not only does the new image reflect the positive and successful product on the field, it also ensures that fans will have a fan- and family-friendly atmosphere when they watch games at Buck Hardee Field this season and for many seasons to come.

The Sharks are a member of the Coastal Plain League, which features 14 teams across the Carolinas and Virginia. For more information on the CPL, please visit www.coastalplain.com. For more information on the Wilmington Sharks, log into http://www.wilmingtonsharks.com.
