The Fayetteville SwampDogs are proud to announce a two-year partnership with Capital Food Group, the franchisee of Mellow Mushroom Fayetteville.

Partnership details include annual brand recognition for Mellow Mushroom at “The Swamp”, home to both the SwampDogs’ baseball season and community events throughout the year. Mellow’s mascot, Mel, and SwampDogs’ mascots, Fun-Go and Cookie will also entertain crowds with on-field promotions throughout the season.

“Mellow Mushroom has something to offer everyone and so does the SwampDogs,” said Reid Fogleman, principle owner of Capital Food Group. “We couldn’t think of a better fit than America’s favorite past time and America’s favorite food.”

Mellow Mushroom and the SwampDogs share mutual goals to focus on community and make a positive impact on families in Fayetteville.

“When choosing partners, we look for ones that will complement our goals and make us stronger. In just a few months, Mellow Mushroom has demonstrated its ability to do that through its strong passion for our community,” said SwampDogs director of operations Darrell Handelsman.

“The SwampDogs have a solid reputation in Fayetteville for being excellent partners and upholding strong practices,” said Fogleman. “One of our main goals since arriving has been to support Fayetteville families and we believe this partnership will help us accomplish that.”

Additionally, the SwampDogs have officially named Mellow Mushroom as their “Host Family Headquarters.” Throughout the year, the SwampDogs will throw appreciation events at Mellow Mushroom for families providing housing to SwampDogs players.
