Hitter of the Week (Week 9):
Anthony Gallas (Kent State) Peninsula (Week 9)
Gallas, a sophomore at Kent State, started seven games for the Pilots on the week, finishing with an impressive .545 average. Of his 12 hits, two were doubles and another
two were home runs. Gallas also scored seven runs and gathered four RBIs to go with 20 total bases. Furthermore,
he had an eye-opening .909 slugging percentage to go with a .643 on-base percentage and four walks. On the season,
Gallas is batting .292 through 45 starts. He has 50 hits, of which 12 are doubles, one triple, and nine homers.

Forsythe finished the week with a .333 average through seven starts, racking up eight hits, including a double
and three home runs, tied for a league-best on the week.
Parker Bangs (South Carolina) Fayetteville (Week 2):
Bangs went a perfect 5-for-5 June 14 in Fayetteville's 32-5 win over Wilmington. Of his five hits, one was for a double and
one was for a homer, as he went on to tally a team-high seven RBIs (tied a league record) to go with five runs scored, and was walked once.
Chris McGuiness (The Citadel) Thomasville (Week 5):
McGuiness, a sophomore from The Citadel, went 6-of-18 on the week, with a double and three home runs. He tallied five runs scored and six RBIs, as well as
16 total bases and being walked seven times. McGuiness also featured an .889 slugging percentage and a .520 on-base percentage on the week.

Pitcher of the Week (Week 9):
Chas Byrne (East Tennessee State) Martinsville (Week 9)
On the mound, Byrne had a great week for the Mustangs. In four appearances, the 6-2, 170-pound freshman from East Tennessee State threw 8
1/3 innings, earning a 2-0 record with a save and perfect 0.00 ERA. In that time, he gave up just five hits,
walked two and struck out 10. Overall, the right-hander is 4-0 with an impressive 1.98 ERA with three saves
through 18 appearances. In 27 1/3 innings pitched, Byrne has surrendered six runs, all earned, on 19 hits,
walked 12 and struck out 39.

Kledzik, a 6-5, 235-pound junior from Wake Forest, made two starts for the Grizzlies, earning a 2-0 record with a respectable
2.57 ERA. In 14 innings pitched, the right-hander gave up just four runs, all earned, on six hits to go with
two walks and 14 strikeouts. Both wins came against the Thomasville HiToms. On the season, Kledzik is 2-1 with
a 2.57 ERA through three starts and 21 innings pitched. He has given up just six earned runs on 14 hits to go

Luke Demko (Rhode Island) Edenton (Week 2)
Demko made three appearances as a closer for the Steamers and recorded three saves in three innings of work. The
6-7, 250-pound redshirt-junior from Rhode Island surrendered no hits, walked just one and struck out three to
maintain a perfect 0.00 ERA on the week. Overall, the right-hander is 2-0 with five saves and a perfect 0.00
ERA through seven appearances for Edenton. He has pitched nine complete innings, giving up just two hits,
while walking three and striking out 11.

John Anderson (Louisiana Tech) Thomasville (Week 4):
Anderson, a 6-2, 195-pound sophomore right-hander at Louisiana Tech, pitched a complete game, shutout on June 23 against rival Asheboro. In nine complete innings pitched, Anderson only gave up three hits and walked none, while striking out an impressive 13.
Sam Heaps (Elizabethtown College) Martinsville (Week 9):
Heaps, a 6-4, 200-pound junior from Elizabethtown College, pitched a complete game, shutout on August 2 against Florence. In nine innings pitched, the right-hander gave up just six hits, walked none and struck out 14.
